David Owen Michaels is a Cleveland-born musician, playwright, composer and teacher. For the past two decades, Dave has been on the forefront of entertaining audiences in bars, restaurants and theaters throughout Northeastern Ohio. His versatility of style and repertoire on the keys have earned him notable mentions both in the local arena, as well as the national stage (USA Today). From Beethoven to Taylor Swift, Dave has a way of tailoring his repertoire to whatever tastes his audience desires.
Aside from being the founder of The Musical Connection, Dave is the Performing Arts Director at St. Edward High School, in Lakewood, Ohio, where he also serves as the school’s choir and orchestra and theater director. Dave is also the playwright, lyricist and composer of Infamous the Musical, which is presently making waves in the theater world. Dave lives in Brookpark, Ohio, with his wife, Theresa, and five children. He can be found playing solo piano at Guarino’s Italian Restaurant in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood on the weekends.

Theresa Michaels is David's wife and a mother to five beautiful children. She considers her role as "mother" to be the most important job she ever had. Theresa is a career vocalist and worship leader at GracePoint church in Lakewood, Ohio. She also sings around Greater Cleveland at various restaurant venues with other local musicians. Her faith has always played a huge role in her life, leading her to write countless Christian worship songs.
Theresa is a pioneer in the realm of frequency compositions which accentuate highlighted sound frequencies associated with feelings of relaxation, healing, and calmness. She has sung alongside Tony Award winning Composer and Lyricist David Malloy and could most recently be seen singing for Tony Kusa, Sr. at The Summer House in Lakewood, Ohio. She looks forward to sharing her love and talent for music with the audience of The Musical Connection.
